The Emergency Duress App is designed to help people feel safer.

It provides a quick and easy way to call for help and get support when it’s needed most. Especially those working in FIFO (fly-in fly-out), mining or remote locations.

About the app

The Emergency Duress App is an emergency response system designed to provide you with immediate assistance in duress situations.

It allows you to quickly signal for help in instances that you do not feel safe, are being harassed, intimidated or require assistance. When you raise the alarm, your GPS location is sent so that responders can find you. You can also communicate via phone to help the responder find you.

If the internet drops out or is not available, the app will display an ‘offline’ banner. You will still be able to use the app, but it will not send the alert until you are connected to the internet.

Using the app

Scenario 1

You’re walking back to your room on site and you see someone is following you and you feel unsafe. You break the routine and do not go back to you room, and the individual continues to follow you. You then arrive at a colleague’s room and enter their room.

What should you do?

In every level of this scenario, you can raise the alarm via the Emergency Duress App. The app can and should be used in any situation where you do not feel safe, are being harassed, intimidated or require assistance.

Scenario 2

You are at the gym and you feel unsafe due to someone verbally abusing you.

What should you do?

In this scenario, you can raise the alarm via the Emergency Duress App. The app can and should be used in any situation where you do not feel safe, are being harassed, intimidated or require assistance.
